Getting Involved
We want to give as many of you as possible the opportunity to take part in your clubs activities- from gaining the skills to help out at the beach sessions to the nuts and bolts of administering proceedings.
We run skills sessions for parents to help out on the beach and in the sea at the beginning of each beach season and there are also opportunities to gain coaching and lifeguarding skills if you feel you can dedicate the time in doing so.
We always need help with organisational roles- from helping traffic calming on the road in hi viz when the kids are travelling to and from the beach to committee roles such as administration, social events, fundraising, etc.
With the limited number of qualified volunteers we have we are trying our best to build a masters beach season session each week- more info as and when will be posted on SPOND
Please do talk to one of the coaches or committee if you can offer anything big or small to contribute towards keeping our club healthy and please keep regularly engaged with our clubs SPOND

Competition
We encourage children to take part in competition days. The events are great fun but can be challenging (often down to conditions!).
Currently we aim to enter a team for the Cornish events. This includes the Stillwater pool championships (usually March) and the Cornwall Nipper and Youth Championships (usually early July). For these events the children need to be keen and physically ready, which is at the coaches’ discretion.
Max Hocking is a “fun day” (usually June) and runs much like a competition day but without the aggregate scores. We’d love as many children as possible to come along to this.
